Easy Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut bites

I found this idea on pinterest. I wanted to use the same biscuits they used but was unable to find honey butter biscuits at any of my local stores. However I found these at my favorite discount store Aldi and I have to say they were a huge hit with my family. I remember making these when I was a kid as an after school snack at my friend Victoria's house. These were lovely because they are crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Try them and let me know what you think.

Ingredients
1 package of store bought flaky biscuits
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

Directions
Heat oil to 200-240 degrees. Cut each biscuit into fours. Drop into oil and cook for a couple of minutes. Flip once one side is brown. Once both sides are brown remove from oil and place on paper towels to cool. Add to cinnamon and sugar mixture before all the way cooled to so the sugar sticks to the doughnut bite.

Serve once they are cooled because the are best eaten fresh.

  3. How awesome you remember these! Theresa and I were just talking about these doughnuts so it is random to find this on your blog. Theresa said she tried to make them for her boys once but they didn't turn out, (she cannot cook) ;) You have inspired me to make these. I will follow your directions. Thanks chica! Keep on cookin'! XoXo
